OK Arabs, it's Cup Final week.

Here's the plans for Sunday:

Buses starting off with a pick up in Leven at 10am...

Then another at Windygates before heading to Glenrothes. Buses leaving at 10:30 sharp.

Then 2 quick pick ups in Kirkcaldy and Rosyth before making the journey through to Hampden.

We'll be having a pre-match bash at a hotel close by to Hampden (approx 1.5 miles), so there's then a choice to walk to the ground or get the bus.

Wearing Tangerine is a must!

From ArabNeWS...

"Two local newspaper reporters are calling on all Arabs to help them assist a fellow United fan by sponsoring them for the Dundee Malawi Half Marathon challenge at the end of June.

Graeme Cleland and Bryan Kay, who will be running for Team Tele, have contacted the newsletter to seek support for the event - which they are running in aid of the Heather Hird Appeal.

Like many, Graeme and Bryan were touched by the courage shown by 15-year-old Heather after being paralysed in a car accident after United's Boxing Day fixture with Kilmarnock last year.

The pair had discussed running the event just before Christmas but couldn't decide on a cause to donate to.

However, when they heard about Heather's accident they had no hesitation in selecting the charity set up in her honour.

Bryan said, "We wanted to donate our funds to a local cause. The Heather Hird Appeal is one we have both been involved in through work and the public have really got behind her.

"She has been so brave at such a young age. She obviously has a long road ahead of her and we'd like to add our support to her recovery."

Cup Final Bus Times Confirmed 26/05/05

1st bus picking up in Kennoway at the Baptist Church at approx. 9.30pm.
Then onto Cupar for 9.45/10am at Fluthers Car Park.
Then moving onto The Acorn at Glenrothes for 10.15am.

2nd bus picking up at Glenrothes (The Acorn) at 10.00am.
Then onto Kirkcaldy at Sainsbury's Petrol Station for 10.20am.

Through to the pub destination (same as Semi-Final) for 12.00 noon, and leaving for Hampden at 1.30/1.45pm.

No rules except absolutely no alcohol on the bus.

A Good Friend Remembered 30/04/05

Sadly, good friend, fellow Arab and long-time member of our supporters' club Davie McCulloch past away one year ago today.

UEFA Cup trips to Andorra and Turkey, a League Cup Final and a relegation dogfight with Hibs. Read all about the 1997/98 season in History.

All seats are now taken on the Glenrothes Arabs' buses to the Scottish Cup Final.

Tickets for the derby, on Saturday 30th April, went on sale on Thursday. Bryan will need to collect voucher 29 from your season ticket book on Saturday.

Please note that voucher 28 is also required for a Cup Final ticket.

Money will be collected for your derby ticket tomorrow (Livingston game). Tickets are £22.

ArabTrust Golf 05/04/05

Yesterday, several Glenrothes Arabs' took part in the annual ArabTrust Golf Championship, held at Drumoig.

Kev played in a team that including Paul Ritchie! Rammy, Andy, Gus and Craig made up a team as well - with a certain Glenrothes Arab going round with a staggering score of a 167 shots, for the 18 holes.

The overall winning team consisted of United players, Tony Bullock, Derek McInnes, Jim McIntyre and Mark Kerr, with the latter winning the nearest the pin prize.

A 53 seater bus is booked for the semi final on Saturday 9th April. Pick up points are Leven, Cupar, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy.

United are allocated Sections I and G in the South and East Stands. Adult prices are £25 and £22 in the South Stand and £18 in the East Stand. A Family Section is also available, priced at £15 adult and £5 concession.
